CAMPER SERVICES ATTENDANT

Available Positions: 14      Year Round Positions: No      Seasonal Positions: Yes

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Report to the Camper Services Manager, Campground Manager and/or Camper Services Lead.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Camper Services Attendants are responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary facility for the benefit of Park visitors, under the direction of the Camper Service Manager/Lead. Included among the responsibilities are:
1. Perform all duties toward the goal of the best possible guest service.
2. Perform cashier duties at the facility.
3. Maintain a proper bank, provide accurate handling of monies and prepare accurate remits.
4. Cleaning, maintaining, disinfecting and stocking the entire facility, including public showers, laundry and restrooms.
5. Maintain an awareness of needed supplies and maintenance problems.
6. Groundskeeping, litter control, emptying and maintaining trashcans and recycling areas.
7. Promote and educate guests on environmental and recycling policies and procedures.
8. Sweeping and/or vacuuming.
9. Wash, dry and fold towels, washcloths, and mats.
10. Provide professional and courteous service to Yellowstone visitors.
11. Understand and adhere to Department and Company policies and procedures.
12. Assure a safe and enjoyable work environment for guests and employees.
13. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers.
14. General dusting when and where necessary.
15. Handling and stocking ice as needed.
16. Maintain daily communication shift logs.
17. Perform other duties as assigned.
18. Maintain a good working relationship with National Park Service personnel.
19. Assist other departments as needed.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

1. Basic cashiering ability.
2. Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions accurately.
3. Communication skills.
4. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
5. Ability to prioritize tasks.
6. Knowledge of Yellowstone facilities, activities, features and services.
7. Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals, their usage and chemical safety.
8. Human relations skills – must be a people person who thrives on public contact.
9. Ability to lift 40 pounds.
10. Must be flexible and open to changes in procedures.
