CAMPGROUND GUEST SERVICE AGENT

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Reports to the Campground Manager, Campground Office Manger, and Senior GSAs. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Campground Guest Service Agent’s primary responsibility is to welcome and register guests to the campsites as closely suited to their needs as possible under the direction of the Campground Manager, Campground Office Manager and/or Senior GSAs. Responsibilities include: 1. Perform all job duties toward the goal of ensuring the best possible guest service. 2. Complete the computer registration process efficiently with minimum delay to the guest. 3. Provide professional and courteous service to Yellowstone visitors. 4. Appropriate assignment and reassignment of campsites or RV sites to guests. 5. Resolve any site discrepancies. 6. Acquaint the guest with the campground, basic rules, and services in the area. 7. Promote and educate guests on environmental & recycling policies and procedures. 8. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required. 9. Maintain daily communication shift logs. 10. Operate computer and provide accurate accounting. 11. Maintain a proper bank, provide accurate handling of monies, and prepare accurate remits. 12. Understand and adhere to Department and Company policies and procedures. 13. Assure a safe and enjoyable work environment for guests and employees. 14. Custodial and/or groundskeeeping duties when necessary. Page 2 Campground Guest Services Agent RESPONSIBILITIES: (continued) 15. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers. 16. Assist other departments as needed. 17. Maintain good working relationship with the National Park Service personnel. 18. Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: 1. Human relation skills - must be a people person who thrives on public contact. 2. Communication skills. 3. Accounting skills. 4. Ability to work with minimal supervision. 5. Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions accurately. 6. Ability to learn technical aspects of the registration process, including computer operation. 7. Ability to work thoroughly and quickly under pressure. 8. Ability to prioritize tasks. 9. Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals. 10. Knowledge of Yellowstone facilities, activities, features and services. 11. Valid driver’s license required. 12. Must be flexible and open to changes in procedures.
