HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
Available Positions: 2 Year Round Positions: No Seasonal Positions: Yes
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports directly to Heavy Equipment Operator/Lead.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provide equipment and manpower to departments park-wide to facilitate opening/closing and operation. Work includes snow removal. 2. Accountable for materials used and ordering of items needed for job completion or inventory replacement per established Company procedure. 3. Provide heavy labor work as required. 4. Does non-related job tasks when necessary.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: 1. Skilled in operation and maintenance of all heavy equipment and large trucks as assigned. 2. Able to work in a professional and timely manner with minimum supervision to complete assigned tasks. 3. Knowledge of basic tradesman skills. 4. Skilled in use of tools common to the trade. 5. This position will require the use of respiratory protection. OSHA standards require a clean-shaven face and a medical screening. 6. Comply with all current related safety and health requirements. 7. Able to read, understand and comply with all current Company policies and procedures. 8. Must possess physical stamina and condition to withstand heavy labor related work in an outside environment. 9. Must be capable or lifting objects weighing up to 70 pounds. 10. Must possess a valid driver's license A1 (air brakes). 11. Must meet Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening as a safety sensitive employee subject to random substance abuse screening under Company policy. AUTHORITIES: 1. Work with maintenance, location and National Park Service personnel.
