RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Operating a 28,000 GVW truck or larger up to 48 foot tractor/trailer, including night driving.
2. Load and unload linen bins from truck.
3. Ensure prompt and accurate linen deliveries.
4. General daily maintenance checks of the vehicle.
5. Report all truck mechanical problems to the Service Center.
6. Keep vehicles clean at all times, inside and out.
7. Follow all traffic laws.
8. Ensures that safety policies and procedures are followed.
9. Other duties as assigned by Supervisors.
10. No smoking in trucks, the trucks are considered the drivers work area. Smoking may be done during lunch and breaks outside of cab.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
1. Must be licensed with an A1 or B Operators license with CDL, air breaks, and DOT physical card.
2. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
3. Ability to work unsupervised.
4. General mechanical skills.
5. Mountain and night driving skills.
6. Knowledge of all State and National driving laws.
7. Must have safe driving record.
8. Must be able to lift 75 - 100 pounds.
