RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain and rent outboard boats and rowboats.
2. Assist in scenic cruise operation.
3. Perform maintenance tasks as assigned.
4. Answer questions for public, provide visitor assistance.
5. Fuel boats as needed.
6. Perform other tasks assigned by Marina Manager.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
1. Knowledge of operation and maintenance of rental boats and equipment.
2. Communication skills.
3. Knowledge of geography and history of the park in general and the Lake area in particular.
4. Knowledge of pertinent NPS rules and regulations including fishing regulations.
5. Knowledge of weather patterns.
6. Basic seamanship skills, outboard operation and docking procedures.
7. Knowledge of department and Company policies and procedures.
AUTHORITIES:
1. Advise persons on dock or in dock area regarding safety rules. Reports violations to Marina Manager. Reports to Manager when a customer demonstrates the inability to safely operate a rental boat. Treats customer with utmost courtesy.
