ASSISTANT LOCATION CONTROLLER

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: The Assistant Location Controller reports directly to the Location Controller. They also work closely with the Manager, Field Accounting; Manager, Accounting Training and Standards; Manager, Location Accounting; and the General Accounting Office staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Assistant Location Controller is expected to assist the Location Controller in all aspects of managing the location accounting operation, ensuring accurate reporting of sales revenue, and supervision of location accounting personnel. The Assistant Location Controller does not work the same shifts as the Location Controller, therefore, they are generally without direct supervision and responsible for most Location Controller duties.

Included among the responsibilities of the Assistant Location Controller are the following:
1. Provide accurate and timely summaries of daily sales from entire location, to be sent to the GAO;
2. Assist in the management of the location accounting staff, ranging from 6 to 21 employees;
3. Assist in scheduling, training, evaluating job performance, coaching and providing guidance and motivation for both returning and new employees of the accounting staff;
4. Maintain accuracy and security of the house bank as well as the management of the cash flow;
5. Assist in ensuring strict adherence to all Amfac accounting policy and procedures by all location departments performing accounting duties;
6. Maintain security of corporate assets as well as control of all numbered documents on location;
7. Provide training and assistance for other department's staff on cash register operations and money handling as needed;
8. Provide information to all departments of the location concerning payroll and accounting policy;
9. Provide reports to location departments as required by GAO, in a timely manner and with complete accuracy;
10. Receive, distribute and cash payroll checks for location employees;
11. Perform minor repair and/or report all cash register malfunctions;
12. Communicate with the GAO as well as other department managers, providing assistance as needed;
13. Assist in maintaining office supplies, food checks, folios, etc. for location, while staying within budget;
14. Maintain a professional attitude and appearance in order to provide the best guest and employee service;
15. Responsible for the confidentiality of information obtained in the accounting office;
16. Respond to fire alarms, knowing correct procedures for emergency situations at the location. Must ensure that staff is trained as well;
17. Perform duties outside the job classification, as assigned by management.
